finally, we got to see man on wire, the award-winning doco about philippe petit's remarkable walk between nyc's twin towers back in 1974. as the blurb says: it was the artistic crime of the century!
all we can say is that it was utterly gripping (much like old philippe's feet). a must-see movie. a cinematic tour de force. yes, yes, we knew he'd do it, but it didn't stop us from getting sweaty palms.
however, we did note that this audacious fellow made his crossing (actually, he walked between the towers eight times all told) in some rather fancy flares. how very french!
